Definition:
GPS is a Global Positioning System.
The GPS is a worldwide radio-navigation system formed
from a group often called as constellations of 24 satellites and their ground stations.
GPS has become a global utility for navigation on land,
sea, and air as well. GPS is also been used in map making,
land surveying, on the country borders, communications,
scientific research, and study of earthquakes.
GPS unit can also be used for military applications like
cruise missiles and precision-guided missiles, navigation;
can be used for driving directions for aircrafts, satellites. |
