300 calculates your route and automatically updates
your directions. You can download regions when you
plan to travel in, to the internal memory; from 2
CD ROMs containing advanced detailed mapping of the
entire U.S. and Canada1. The built-in North American
major roads network included in the internal memory
that holds up to 110 MB of map data. Due to this you
can avoid bulky paper maps and the time it takes to
log on to the Internet to get directions. It puts
the ease and accuracy of vehicle navigation at your
fingertips.
Before setting out on your driving adventure, the
new Magellan Trip Planner enables you to select multiple
destination points from your address book. Without
the need to select a new destination after each stop,
your Magellan RoadMate 300 will guide you from one
point to the next. It doesn't matter in which city
you are but you can get gas, visit the ATM, pick up
a relative and stop by the florist before meeting
the family at the restaurant to celebrate mom's birthday,
all these facilities while on the journey without
re-entering destination points.
An extensive list of points of interest (POI) in your
selected area makes it easy to choose your destination
quickly. For easy browsing or searching by name, POIs
are organized in categories and sub-categories. You
can find a specific gas station, restaurant, hotel,
ATM, amusement park and more to easily navigate to
the nearest amenity or one along your planned route.
